Design requirements and size parameters of staircase handrails
What are the design requirements for stairs?
Stairs with duplex structures are indispensable. The staircase is a connection between the "up" and "down" in the home, but not only that, between this up and down, what is needed is safety and convenience.

Design dimensions of stairs
1. gradient of staircase
The common gradient of stairs is 20O to 45o, that is, 1/2.75 to 1/1, of which 30o is more common.
2. stair step size
The staircase ladder is composed of several steps, each step consisting of tread and kicking. The step size 2h+b=600 to 620mm can be calculated according to the following empirical formula. Or h+b=450mm
Type: H-step kicking height; b-step width; 600-620 mm for the average person's step; when the step size is small, you can take the way to add a foot or tilt the kicking surface widen the tread.
3. railing (or railing) height of handrails
Generally, the height of indoor handrails is 900mm, and that of nursery and kindergarten buildings is 600 mm. The height of horizontal safety handrails on top platform should not be less than 1000mm, the horizontal distance between the handrails should not be greater than 120 mm, and the height of outdoor staircase handrails should not be less than 1050 mm.
4. width of staircase
The general staircase should be considered at the same time passing through at least two streams of people. The width of 550 mm + (0-150 mm) stairwell is generally 50-200 mm according to the width of per-share flow per person.
5. width of staircase
The width of the staircase is greater than or at least equal to the width of the staircase. In the actual staircase design, the determination of flat width should also be analyzed in detail.
6. clearance height of staircase
The height of the staircase includes the net height of the staircase and the net height of the platform aisle. The platform aisle should be greater than 2m. The staircase should be greater than 2.2m. In a pair of running stairs, when the passage under the first floor platform can not meet the 2m net height requirements, the following measures can be taken to solve:
1) increase the first ladder on the bottom to form a ladder with different series. Such treatment must be further intensified.
2) The length of staircase is unchanged, and the indoor floor elevation of the bottom floor of the staircase is reduced. This treatment, the components of the staircase are unified, but the difference of indoor and outdoor floor floor elevation should meet the requirements of use.
3) Combine the above two methods, that is, make use of part of indoor and outdoor elevation difference, and make unequal running steps to meet the requirements of staircase clearance, this method is more commonly used.
4) run straight stairs at the bottom and go straight to the two floor. The staircase is longer and the staircase is longer.
Staircase design plan
1. design steps
(1) determine the form of stairs;
(2) determine the appropriate gradient of staircase, choose step high hour, step width B;
(3) determine the width of staircase staircase B;
(4) determine step progression;
(5) determine the width of the stair platform B ';
(6) determine the horizontal projection length of the staircase by the initial step width b.
(7) to calculate the clearance of staircases;
(8) draw the staircase plan and profile.
2. design example
[case] the height of a student dormitory is 3.3m, the width of the staircase is 4.0m, and the depth is 6.6m. The entrance is made under the staircase, the height difference between indoor and outdoor is 600mm, and the staircase is designed.
Solution:
(1) according to the meaning, the staircase is a double run staircase.
(2) The building is a student dormitory, staircase passers-by more people, staircase gradient should be gentle, the primary step height of 150 mm, step width of 300 mm.
(3) according to the opening size 4.0m, the thickness of the 2.5 wall is 120 x 2 and the width of the staircase is 60mm. The width of the staircase is calculated, that is, B = (4000-120 * 2-60) /2 = 1850mm > 550 * 2 = 1100mm
The width of the staircase meets the requirements of the two passenger flow.
(4) determine step progression. The height of the building is high except for steps: 3300/150 = 22. Initially identified as running staircases, each staircase stage 22/2=11 level.
(5) determine the width of the platform. The width of the platform is greater than or equal to the width of the staircase. That is, the width of the staircase is B "1850mm".
(6) determine the horizontal projection length of the staircase and check whether the depth of the stairwell is enough. Attention should be paid to the starting position of the first step, and there should be a prescribed transition space from the corridor or doorway (550mm).
3000 x 10 + 50% + 50 50 = 5400mm
(7) carry out clearance height calculation.
1) make the first staircase unequal to run stairs, first run for 13, and second for 9.
2) use indoor and outdoor height difference, so 450mm height difference is used.
The clearance height below the platform beam is:
150 x 13 + 4 50 - 50 50 = 20 50 mm to meet clearance requirement.
The following is further checked to see if the depth dimension meets the requirements: 300 *12+1850+550=6000 <6600-120 *2=6360mm.
(8) drawing the above design results into diagrams.
